Not once this summer did I go to the air field and discover I couldn't fly because my engine didn't start. There were lots of other reasons I couldn't fly, but a dead engine was never one of them. I could go on about this but I will defer to Mr. Electric for a more cogent argument.

electric rules, the most important thing in flying electric planes is to set your timer on your tx ,too long a flight time will degrade your lipo battery below 20%. im looking forward to this forum, any questions post them.

The electric motor is brushless, this is accomplished with 3 phase alternating current. The electronic speed controller converts the direct current of the battery into 3 phase AC. Why 3 phases ? Answer : Higher power to weight ratio

I understand why people like electrics they are clean and quiet and work very good ,i fly gas they are noisy ,smelly and when tuned right they are just as reliable as electric ,i love the sound of a engine unloading in a high speed dive across the field for me i don't mind the extra work to tune them its fun to me plus i get more flying time depending on my tank size .The messy oil is scale weathering and to me this looks great I LOVE GAS i think RC planes rule and i love seeing a electric plane going through its paces as much as a gas i just enjoy playing and working on gas engines
